LETTERS FROM OUR MINI SCHNAUZER FAMILIES...
Hi Brenda,
Ricky is doing great. Everyone who has any contact with him loves him. He is just a lover. Always kissing people and plays well with other dogs. He is a bit timid at times, so you were right he is definitely not an Alpha. I will send more pictures soon and maybe we could arrange a visit??
Thank you for giving me my little angel!!! --Libbe

Hi! How are ya? Today we bought Libby the cutest outfit at Target! It is a pink shirt with the Eiffel Tower on it, a pink baret, and a crossiant squeaky toy! It is adorable and she doesn't even notice that she is wearing it! What a diva--haha! We are going to take a picture of her wearing it soon, and we'll send it to you : ). She is definitely the main event at our house and she has the whole family wrapped around her paw. Haha . . . even my brother calls her "precious". He thinks that she is adorable, and he's been home less than ten times since we brought her home! --Amber

They are absolutely incredible !!!!!!! I have been so astonished at how well they are going to potty outside. You guys obviously spent a tremendous amount of time with them- thank you so much.
Friday night they whimpered about three minutes then went to sleep and we never heard anything else out of them. I got up at 6:30 to let them out and they did so good. They are truly smart little girls. Taylor and Emily are ecstatic - we are working very hard to teach them to be gentle and patient and to not pick them up every waking moment!!!! Ellie and Macy love to be outside and we certainly enjoy watching them run and tumble and wrestle each other. I truly believe the best thing we did was to bring two home together - they are such good company to each other.
And I selfishly enjoy the time when my little girls go to bed and David and I can have the babies all to ourselves!! They give such unconditional love and are always so happy to cuddle - we are all very much in love!!!!! --Jada
You wouldn't believe how smart he is. Never has messed in the house yet. Has been sleeping in the crate or on the bed all night until 5:30. The children are crazy about him. Ready to play, but as well mannered as a two year old dog.
We're fighting over him, as I have another daughter with a six month old who loves him. He stays at one house some, another house some, and another house. He is an unbelieveably happy little feller. --Barry, Cathy, and Kendra

Hi Brenda,
Molly is totally spoiled and we love her to pieces. She plays fetch but only gives up the ball if I have a treat waiting for her....we never taught her to play, but she's SOOO smart, she just knew how to do it. She is the first Schnauzer we've had that will stay in the house when we prop the door open for some reason and she walks to the mailbox with me - not on a leash and that's so exciting for me. She's only had a small amount of doggy school, but is very easy to train. Everyone that meets her falls in love with her and we're so thrilled that she's part of our family.
Thanks,
Chris
He is awesome, what a great companion. He just learned to go up the stairs a few days ago, still does not like to go down- which is fine, he can take as long as he wants. He definitely wants to explore everything with his mouth, so we do a lot of re-directing. He sits on command, will stay for a very short time. He barks at his own reflection in the front door every evening at about 8 when the light is just right! He understands when we tell him 'no bite' and then licks himself into a frenzy of biting again. He loves to play fetch with a rubber squeaky ball. We only had 2 minor accidents in the house today! I so enjoy coming home to have him there to greet us. He has such a good personality. I love it how he grunts when we carry him (this wont last for much longer)! Lyn took some good pics (attached). We will take more pics with the kids after his next bath. Thanks for asking! --Dan and Lyn

Hey Brenda,
Hope all is well with you. I just thought I would give you an update on Gracie.
Gracie goes to puppy class at Pet Smart on Thursdays and is doing very well. I really just wanted to get her out and around other dogs but I have to tell you she is the smartest one in the class. The trainer said she did better on her come than any dog she has ever seen. This is because she came to me with such enthusiasm. (she loves me :)) She has also mastered everything else she is taught.
The pictures are of my Granddaughter and my future Step Granddaughter....shes the one with the curls. They spent the night a couple of weekends ago and Gracie was perfect with them!!!
Take care,
Debra
Good Morning,
Zoey is doing great and growing so fast. I have a sweatshirt on her today as it is 7 degrees here.
I was at the bottom of the stairs and Zoey was standing next to me and Ryan was up at the top of the stairs and the next thing we saw was Zoey flying up the stairs. We did not think her little legs would be long enough to master the stairs - she fooled us!!! I am trying to teach her to come down the stairs but her legs are not quite long enough to master that yet.
She finally adjusted to the harness and leash and I take her walking down the middle of our street where I make sure there is nothing she can get in her mouth ( yep - I am paranoid about that). She would prefer to be off the leash as she likes to run but she runs in my big workroom and through the rest of the house.
We are starting another obedience class on the 19th and the trainer said there were some small dogs in it. I told her if it was all big dogs we would leave.
She has had her second series of shots and she weighs 6 lbs. The vet told me to back off a little on her food. I was feeding her 1/4 cup 3 times a day so she is now down to 1/4 cup in the morning ( she prefers breakfast at 6 a.m.) and then an 1/8th of a cup at noon and an 1/8 cup at 6p.m. Does that sound like enough for her? I keep her food in a container in the closet in my workroom and when she is ready to eat she gets her bowl and sits in front of the door until I get the food out for her. She will not budge until I open door and get the container out. She set her own schedule as to when she wants to eat and it works out fine.
She also will go to the back door that leads into the sun room when she wants to go potty. I will make some more pictures today and send them to you.
Have a good day and stay warm.
Doris

Brenda, Pete is doing so good! He hasn't had an accident at all. It's so much fun how entergetic he gets. He is also fine in the kennel and seems like such a smart dog. We are so excited to have him home!!! I know he will be a great dog and companion! We also have already scheduled his second set of shots on Dec. 26!
Thanks so much for everything! Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!
Jen
